Would you like to learn about what goes into making them? This class
will teach you the basics of making comics, no matter what your skill
level. This includes what goes into writing them, drawing them, and a
little bit of the history of what works and why it does. Knack Whittle
graduated SVA in 2021, and was taught by many artists and editors such
as Klaus Janson, David Mazzucchelli, Alitha Martinez, and Carl Potts
(among many more), and is very enthusiastic about passing on their
teachings. - Knack Whittle (they/them) is a cartoonist from Cecil
County, MD, and one of the illustrators for the best-selling series of
graphic novel adaptations of Francine Pascal's Sweet Valley Twins
series. Knack graduated from SVA in New York in 2021 with a BFA in
Cartooning, and works from home full time as a cartoonist, though they
may also be found helping out on occasion at Captain Blue Hen Comics
in Newark. In their free time, Knack can be found playing/leading D&D,
studying history and historiography, or taking hikes, among other
things.
