Bobbin Lace is an amazing art! Students taking the class for the first
time will learn about the history, equipment and basic stitches used
in making lace culminating in the creation of a bookmark. Students who
have take then class before will have a chance to review their skills
and learn new ones, taking them further along their lacemaking
journey. All materials necessary are included in the class. - Cathy
has worked with textiles from a young age and been making lace for 26
years. While she enjoys working lace in traditional materials and a
variety of traditional lace families, she has also experimented with
design, scale and unusual materials. She has taught classes for her
local lace guilds and acted as co-chair for the 2017 International
Organization of Lace Convention in 2017. While it is perfectly
possible for her to make doilies, she chooses not to.
