The Newark Arts Alliance offers their perennial favorite, “The
Holiday Art Market” once again this year by filling it’s main
studio with 15 artisans offering jewelry, ceramics, contemporary
quilts, mosaics, paper quilling and sculpture, alcohol ink art, fused
& stained glass, hand-painted clothing and artist made ornaments. This
six-week show offers lots of shopping opportunity for those seeking
unusual, hard to find gifts. 20% of all sales benefit the Newark Arts
Alliance. Artists featured this year are: Carole Fox, Addie Spicer,
Carole Huber, Eleanor Fink, Ingrid Jackoway, Stephanie Przybylek,
Terry Foreman, Karen Hornor, Karen O’Lone-Hahn, Elizabeth Baehr,
Catherine Houghton, Linda Majewski, Kelly Martin, Mary Jane Tyrie, and
Barbara Tinsman. Special events including “Wine & Cheese Shopping
Night” on Fri., Dec. 13 , 5-7pm, offers free refreshments, personal
shopping help and a gift wrapping station for your purchases.
“Cookies & Cards” is offered Saturday, Dec. 21 , from 2-5pm offers
card and gift tag making supplies in the classroom and cookies and
warm cider. Both events are free. The market is open from Nov. 26 to
Jan. 2, on Sun., Tues., Wed. from 12-4pm, and Thurs.-Fri. from 12-7pm.
