The A. Philip Randolph Institute – Delaware Chapter will be continuing the tradition of hosting the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Prayer Breakfast on January 20, 2020. The A. Philip Randolph Institute (APRI) is an organization for African-American trade unionists. APRI advocates social, labor, and economic change at the state and federal level, using legal and legislative means. APRI has 150 chapters in 36 states. We will continue the tradition of celebrating the life and works and birthday of the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., and also celebrate our founder A. Philip Randolph who worked with Dr. King and also was the organizer of the March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom on August 28, 1963. The Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. prayer breakfast will held at The Executive Banquet and Conference Center located at 205 Executive Way Newark, Delaware, 19702. Breakfast will begin promptly at 8:00 am. Doors will open at 7:00 am. _Our theme this year will be Celebrating Life with Service, and we will honor Former Vice President Joseph Biden with the Presidents' Award and Rev. Dr. Christopher A. Bullock of Canaan Baptist Church with 2020Celebrating Life with Service Award. _ We are proud to have The Honorable United States Senator Christopher Coons as our keynote speaker for this year’s breakfast, We thank you in advance for your support as we celebrate the legacy of Dr. King and A. Philip Randolph. Tickets are $50 per person; tables of Ten (10) are discounted at $450.  There is also opportunity to place ads in the souvenir program booklet.
