The 2nd ANNUAL BALLARD COMMUNITY FUND BENEFIT DINNER WILL TAKE PLACE
FRIDAY APRIL 26, 2019 at the WHITE CLAY CREEK COUNTRY CLUB in
WILMINGTON Delaware from 7-11pm. Tickets are $125 and include a
4-course meal and open bar from7-9pm ($75 dollars of the ticket price
is tax deductible). There will be a silent auction and dancing as
well!
The Fund was created following the line of duty death of my late
husband, Corporal Stephen BALLARD IN 2017, to provide a grant each
year to a Delaware COMMUNITY ORGANIZATION TO SUPPORT LOCAL
INITIATIVES.
NAMI-Delaware is the 2019 recipient. The grant will specifically
support the Veteran Response Team (VRT) which provides training to law
enforcement officers in Delaware on how to address and aid veterans in
time of crisis. Check out this article on VRT:

Your contribution is appreciated and will help provide the financial
support needed to keep providing grants in perpetuity. Stephen was a
state trooper for 8 years when he was fatally shot on April 26, 2017.
He was a kind and warm hearted person who was always giving back and
helping the COMMUNITY. This Fund and the organizations we support are
a testament to keeping his legacy alive by helping others in need.
We are honored to have a Red, White and Blue theme this year honoring
our veterans and ensuring that Delaware law enforcement have the tools
needed when assisting veterans in crisis. Our veterans have dedicated
their life to protecting our country and the BALLARD COMMUNITY FUND IS
PROUD TO SUPPORT THEM WHEN THEY ARE IN NEED!
Your support is greatly appreciated. A portion of your ticket $75 is
tax deductible.
