Visit Website Details Step Afrika! blends percussive dance styles with
traditional African dance, while integrating songs, storytelling, and
humor into each performance. Drumfolk is inspired by the Stono
Rebellion of 1739, a little-known event in American history that
transformed African experience in America. This program will include
excerpts from Drumfolk, including Step Afrika!’s award-winning
lecture-demonstration on the African-American percussive dance style
