Join EDUCATORS FROM ACROSS THE DC AREA AT HOWARD UNIVERSITY’s first BLACK EDUCATORS WEEK AND SHARE YOUR TRUTH! The truth is Black women educators have been at the crux of teaching and learning in America since there has been an America. The truth is Black women are often left out and pushed out of education. The truth is Black women educators are master educators. The truth is Black women teachers are not seen, heard and valued as we should. In our session “Our Unvarnished Truths: examining the needs and challenges of Black women educators in 2020” we will have the space to grapple with the past, present and probable future of these truths. In an experience curated for Black women educators, by Black women educators we will embrace our trials and triumphs and come together to do the work.
