Introduction to Linocut Printmaking

« All Events INTRODUCTION TO LINOCUT PRINTMAKING Saturday, June 6 @ 2:30 pm - 5:00 pm $55 Event Navigation « Contemporary Watercolors Super Soccer Stars (Ages 2-3) » Register Here Learn a new technique and create your very own print in this workshop with Christine Vineyard!  Students will walk away with basic knowledge and instructions for how to create a linoleum block print from start to finish. By the end of class, students will have a carved block and at least one final print to take home. Students should bring a few images to use as inspiration or may sketch their own designs. She has her BFA in Art Education and a Masters of Art Education with a focus on curriculum writing. Christine is originally from Atlanta, GA where she taught at an international charter school before relocating to DC to continue her teaching career. Christine has worked with all ages from preschool to adults and is excited about sharing her knowledge and love of art with others. A minimum of 4 students is required for the class to occur. Students will be notified if the minimum is not met. Please note that registration ends at 10am the morning of the class.
