Dr. Lauren Andrews, an earth scientist with the Global Modeling and
Assimilation Office at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center, will discuss
the large-scale atmospheric patterns that trigger melt events, as well
as her own research on how this meltwater is stored, how it reaches
the bottom of the ice sheet, and the effect as it moves along the ice
sheet bed.
