ABOUT POTTERY / CERAMIC PAINTING The art of pottery/ceramic
painting, one of the vibrant artistic tradition in Ottoman history, is
kept alive in a traditional way till now.
The Iznik tiles (15th-17th centuries) decorated public spaces,
palaces, and places of worship throughout the empire.
You will see beautiful examples of these tiles as you learn about
this historic art form with a relationship to Turkish arts and
culture while painting on ceramic bisque tiles.
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
Learn basic drawing of traditional ceramic pattern (available for
easy reproduction or students may create their own ) design while
hand painting on the pre-made bisque tile.
By the end of class, you will have a tile bisque completely
designed and painted by you.
Our workshop content is a highly developed work for hand and eye
coordination which will improve children's motor skills. Parents are
also involved in the learning process of children.
WHAT'S PROVIDE
The colors, brushes, bisque tiles. Additional supplies are discussed
in class.
No previous drawing or painting experience is required.
NOTES
* Open to all ages, however, children under 10 must be
accompanied by an adult.
* Please note, your space is not guaranteed until payment is
received. The event place is non-smoking and no pets, please.
