Our next STORYTELLING NIGHT WILL BE HELD ON FEBRUARY 19TH AT LAPOP,
and the theme will be “Self-Love and IMMIGRATION." Valentine’s Day
is a celebration of love, and at KAMA DC we want to join in that
celebration. But we want to mix things up a bit by celebrating a
different kind of love. KAMA DC is proud to present the next
installment in our immigration storytelling night series: “Self-love
and Immigration.” As an antidote to the focus on romantic
relationships, we want to provide a platform for immigrants to share
stories of self-care and self-love.
Your donation of $5 will help US put on more events like this.
Donations to KAMA DC are spent on covering any costs our performers
and teachers incur (transportation, childcare, food), space rental,
buying supplies for our classes, and buying small gifts for our
teachers. If the $5 ticket is a barrier to your attendance, please
e-mail US at info@kamadc.org.
Note that we have a firm capacity of 50 people for this event. Please
ensure everyone in your party has a ticket to present upon check-in.
KAMA DC is grateful to Lapop for generously hosting our immigration
storytelling night series.
