Rooftop Urban Farm Tour!

Do you ever wonder what urban farming is and how it works? You might be about curious about how cities can feed a growing population using fewer resources. Perhaps you want to learn how to utilize new growing technologies to grow food on your own roof, balcony, backyard, or in your basement.Join the farmers from Cultivate the City at H Street Farms for a half hour tour of our rooftop farm. We specialize in organic and pesticide free hydroponic and vertical farming, and would love to show you how we grow food right here in the Nation’s Capital. We will show you various growing urban farming techniques as well as many of the conservation efforts we have implemented. This behind the scenes look will show you all of the tips and trick we employ in the heart of the H Street Corridor. You will also get to sample some freshly prepared treats from the garden which may include: fresh fruits/herbs, kale chips, hot sauces, jams and much more (depends on what's in season)! After the tour you are free to check out our retail garden center where we can help you affordably bring your garden into the 21st century.
