The CONFERENCE IS THEMED ‘Art of Preservation’ reflective of the legendary quote “_ self-care is not self-indulgence but an art of preservation “-Audre Lorde _ We are committed to creating a safe and positive environment that unifies in sisterhood. WOMEN WILL PAUSE and INDULGE in acts of self-care and healing WHAT IS THE PAUSE PROJECT? PAUSE Project is a 501c3 non-profit organization proudly serving the Washington, DC Metropolitan area. We advocate for the healing and wholeness of African American women and adolescents through sexual and mental health education, HIV/AIDS; active self-care and wellness support. Our vision is to build communities of conscious African American women and adolescents who are committed to health equity and equality.
