COURSE DESCRIPTION:Amie Remington, General Counsel for LandrumHR, will introduce you to laws regulating employment, giving you the confidence you need to handle employment issues like a pro. You will also learn when to partner with your HR Partner for additional guidance. Increasing your knowledge of the laws and regulations allows you to reduce the risk of potential litigation. This is a must-attend session for those new to management, new to HR, or those taking on increasing responsibility in these areas. ABOUT THE PRESENTER: Amie Remington Amie is General Counsel for LandrumHR. The company’s staffing, consulting, and PEO divisions combined have more than 700 clients and 14,000 employees. As General Counsel, Amie advises LandrumHR’s three divisions on all business and employment-related legal issues. She is also a regular speaker at national and statewide events, discussing all aspects of employment law that affect employers. Amie graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts from the Honors Program of Florida State University in 1991 and with honors from Florida State University College of Law (J.D. 1997).
