Well, hello, Pensacola! After a brief hiatus last year, The Pyramid
Players are BACK and they are heading to Yonkers, New York to handle a
highly personal matter for a “well-known, unmarried,
half-a-millionaire”! On Friday, November 15, The Pyramid Players
will present "Hello, Dolly!" at WSRE’s Jean & Paul Amos Performance
Studio, located on the Pensacola State College Campus. "Hello, Dolly!"
is a family-friendly musical that follows the story of Dolly Gallagher
Levi (a strong-willed matchmaker), as she travels to Yonkers to find a
match for the miserly “half-a-millionaire” Horace Vandergelder.
Will the meddlesome widow succeed in her match-making plans? Join the
Pyramid Players to find out! The Players’ annual performance is the
crown jewel of Pyramid’s unique visual and performing arts program.
The Pensacola arts community anticipates this event so much that it
has become an annual tradition to attend just to see what The Players
and artists have in store for them! The performers are adults with
intellectual and developmental disabilities. On stage and on canvas,
their abilities shine through. Doors open at the Jean & Paul Amos
Performance Studio at 5:30 pm CST with an art show featuring the works
of Pyramid Artists statewide & a silent auction. Curtain is at 7.
Light hors d'oeuvres will be served.
