This program is 9 weeks and will focus on the basics of gymnastics for Crossfit. Throughout this program you will focus on finding your full gymnastic potential at your current strength level by practicing and progressing through handstands, handstand push-ups, kipping pull-ups, kipping toes to bar and rope climbs. All athletes are welcome for this program. Although you may start at different levels, everyone will be able to upgrade their gymnastic ability!
We will be working on kipping and rope climbs throughout this program. Long pants or knee sleeves are encouraged for rope climbs and if you have gymnastics grips you are welcome to bring them.
Here is what you can expect to gain from this program:
Beginners: Introduction into handstands, a better understanding of the fundamentals of kipping, rope climbs and body position.
Intermediate: Progress toward your first freestanding handstand hold. Stringing together kipping pull-ups and toes to bar. Increased proficiency climbing a rope.
Advanced: improved freestanding handstand ability and handstand walking. Larger and more efficient sets of pull-ups and toes to bar. Increased cycle speed and efficiency of rope climbs.
