Arts Ballet Theatre of Florida closes its season with the ?Spring
Gala?, a vibrant program showcasing the company?s most dynamic
repertoire. Opening the performance is ?Danzón? by Yanis Pikieris, a
lively neoclassical piece set to Arturo Márquez?s rhythmic score.
Vladimir Issaev?s elegant ?La Traviata Pas de Deux? follows, along
with his emotionally charged ?Shostakovich Suites?. Guest
choreographer Alberto Méndez brings his celebrated ?Tarde en la
Siesta? to South Florida audiences once more in collaboration with
Issaev. The evening concludes with the U.S. premiere of Issaev?s
large-scale ?Polovtsian Dances?, set to Borodin?s powerful opera score
and performed by 32 dancers. A breathtaking finale! A FREE 30 minute
pre-show discussion for all patrons will occur thirty minutes prior to
the start of the show, inside the theater. A valid ticket for this
designated event is required. VIP Tickets are available for this show.
