An exhibition dedicated to Caribbean history, culture and cuisine, a video presentation of the dramatic Culinary Theater, plus complimentary light bites.
About the Exhibit
The producers of Taste the Islands culinary and travel TV series, and The Taste the Islands Experience food and drink festival, present the Caribbean Culinary Museum and Theater, an immersive exhibition sharing information and artifacts representing the shared history and culture of the islands of the Caribbean from the perspective of food.
In the Museum, learn about the origins of the foods and flavors of the Caribbean, from ground provisions, rice and grains, to stews, fruits, rum and meats. See culinary artifacts and utensils, some unique to the region, and learn how they have been used from generation to generation and from island to island.
In the Culinary Theater, watch as actors representing different islands of the Caribbean share a dramatic presentation of the meaning behind our shared culinary culture and history.
This exhibit is part of “The Island Imprint” year of activities, presented by Island Syndicate.
Upcoming installations include Tamarac Library, from July 1 - July 29, and Bailey Contemporary Arts in Pompano Beach.
