Da Vinci - the way he looked at PAINTINGS. Last year marked the 500th
anniversary of the death of the greatest artist in history and it has
been a year of celebration and recognition. The Italian genius, the
ultimate Renaissance Man, was not only the greatest painter of all
time, his interests include extraordinary inventions, drawing,
sculpture, architecture, science, music, mathematics, engineering,
literature, anatomy, geology, astronomy, botany, paleontology, and
cartography. My lecture will focus on his paintings, using the great
masterpiece, Mona Lisa, as the introduction to his work.
