Calling all Stingarees! Orchestra MIAMI CELEBRATES THE 90TH
ANNIVERSARY OF MIAMI SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL’s “new” building with a
Gala Concert on Saturday, Jan. 20th, 8 PM in the beautiful
Mediterranean-revival auditorium of MIAMI SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL,2450 SW 1
Street, MIAMI, 33135. The program features a performance of
Gershwin’s “An American in Paris”, which premiered in 1928- the
year that the new building was completed- along with the Overture to
Strauss’ _Die Fledermaus_ and Dvorak’s unforgettable Symphony N. 9
in E Minor (“New World” Symphony). Orchestra MIAMI’s Artistic
Director Elaine Rinaldi conducts the 55 musicians of Orchestra MIAMI.
Advance purchase tickets range from $20-$50 ($25-$55 at the door) with
a 20% discount on orchestra seats for seniors and $5 tickets for
students. A dessert reception follows the concert to raise funds for
MIAMI SENIOR HIGH AND ORCHESTRA MIAMI. Tickets for the reception are
