BEETHOVEN IS BACK! Orchestra Miami’s annual series of free outdoor
concerts- “BEETHOVEN ON THE BEACH”- returns this March. This
year’s edition- “HEROES”- features an all-BEETHOVEN PROGRAM WITH
A THEME OF HEROISM. The program includes excerpts from BEETHOVEN’s
only opera, Fidelio, featuring Laura Pederson and Jennifer Tipton,
soprano soloists, and Matthew Mannes, tenor and the dramatic
“Eroica” Symphony N. 3 in E Flat Major, Op. 55. The 38 musicians
of Orchestra Miami will be led by Artistic Director Elaine
Rinaldi.Friday, March 8th at 8:00 PM at the North Beach Bandshell,
7275 Collins Avenue in Miami Beach. This is a FREE event, however
there is a $10 per person suggested donation. Give what you can- no
one will be turned away! Bench seating is provided or bring a lawn
chair. You may bring a picnic, but please no outside beverages.
Beverages will be available for purchase at the event. There is free
parking after 6 PM at the municipal parking lot on the west side of
Collins Avenue between 72nd and 73rd Streets.
Can’t make it on March 8th? There are two more performances! Friday,
March 22nd, 8 PM at Pinecrest Gardens, 11000 SW 57 Avenue, Pinecrest
33156 and Sunday, March 24, 4 PM at Gateway Park, 151 Sunny Isles
