Boost your reading confidence and literacy skills 8-12

This workshop or field trip introduces students with a foundation in literacy skills to the Immersive Reader in the OneNote app. Participants will build confidence and improve their readingcomprehension through grade level–appropriate activities with Immersive Reader features. Activities include discussions, demonstrations, and playing word and story games to gain hands onexperience using the tools. Participants share their favorite tools with their parent or caregiver. The wrap-up includes demonstrations of Learning Tools in other apps that students frequently use in school, like Microsoft Edge and Word, to ensure parental understanding of the tools. Parents and caregivers will be prepared to encourage and support their child to continue using Learning Tools to develop reading skills at home and at school.
