Aging brother and sister, Matthew and Marilla Cuthbert, send to an
orphanage for a boy to help on the farm. To everyone's surprise,
however, a mix-up brings them romantic, hot-headed, and energetic
12-year-old Anne Shirley. Over the course of six years, she wins their
hearts and turns the stodgy, rural, Canadian community into a bright
world of "kindred spirits." A play for the whole family and literature
enthusiasts alike. Performed by Labelle Performing Arts theater
company: The Red Carpet Actors Society. The cast and crew consists
mostly of students age 10-18. Based on the beloved novel by L.M.
Montgomery. Adapted for stage by Peter DeLaurier. Produced by special
arrangement with Playscripts. Inc. Directed by Sandi Palag and
assistant directed by Isabela Rabon.
