Class G Armed Security Guard (28 hour) Course -A - Southport, FL 2026

The CLASS G LICENSE IS REQUIRED WHEN PRIVATE INVESTIGATORS OR PRIVATE SECURITY OFFICERS ARE REQUIRED TO CARRY A FIREARM WHILE PERFORMING THEIR REGULATED DUTIES. Initial training is 28 hours. A CLASS D LICENSE IS REQUIRED IN ORDER TO TAKE THIS CLASS. A certified instructor is present for the training. **There is an additional charge to qualify with a second weapon. What You Need to Wear & Bring to the CLASS: Your firearm and duty gear, as long as they are in good working order. The equipment will be inspected and approved by a firearms instructor before it can be used during the CLASS. Factory ammunition for your firearm (at least 200 rounds). The CLASS SCHEDULE IS: Oct 10 7:00am - 6:00pm Oct 11 7:00am - 6:00pm Oct 12 7:00am - 4:00pm Hip (duty) holster for your weapon. Long pants. No low cut or sleeveless shirts/blouses. During the CLASS YOU MAY WEAR JEANS OR OTHER CASUAL ATTIRE. No shirts with offensive slogans or advertising. Protective eyewear. Hat/ball cap – for protection from flying brass on the firearms range from semi auto weapons. Comfortable footwear, no open toe shoes or sandals. Fluids to drink for recovery hydration – for outdoor range training Wet weather gear, since CLASSES WILL BE HELD RAIN OR SHINE ANY SNACKS THAT YOU MAY REQUIRE. Sun block & bug spray.
