Basketball Cheer Team

Basketball Team Try-Outs will be conducted on August 28-29, 2020

Basketball Cheer Team will perform at all home basketball games, designated away basketball games and the MEAC Basketball Tournament.

Both the Football/Competition Cheer Team and Basketball Cheer Team teams will be utilized for appearances, community service activities, and special events.

Basketball Cheer Fee- $500 DUE September 25, 2020

Requirements - Basketball

STANDING TUMBLING REQUIREMENT – back handspring

RUNNING TUMBLING REQUIREMENT – multiple back handsprings

STUNTING – FLYERS – Lib

STUNTING – BASES/BACKSPOTS – experience basing libs

There will only be IN PERSON TRYOUTS for the 2020 – 2021 Basketball Cheerleading Team

Tryout/Registration Fee - $40 (must register online Eventbrite) NO REFUNDS

Date: August 29,2020 - August 30, 2020

Where: Gaither Gymnasium 1835 Wahnish Way Tallahassee FL 32310

Attire: Both days - black shorts and plain black top (t-shirt, tank top, sports bra); comfortable shoes; hair all up or half up/half down

What to bring to tryouts – Water, head shot, athletic braces (if needed), athletic tape (if needed); copy of Eventbrite registration

**All candidates trying out in person, must have an active physical (within a year) completed prior to tryouts. Physical, copy of insurance card, unofficial transcript/most recent report card; current class schedule must all be emailed to famu.cheerleading@gmail.com. In the subject area please list; first name, last name FAMU Cheer BB Tryout 20-21. (EX. Jane Doe FAMU Cheer BB Tryout 20-21). All paperwork must be submitted by August 21, 2020 no later than 5pm.
