DIANE DESHONG CANNON IS THE JULY SPOTLIGHT ARTIST AT THE DOWNTOWN ART GALLERY, 335 S. Washington Ave., in historic downtown TITUSVILLE. Visit the Gallery MONDAYS, AND THURSDAY THRU SATURDAY to view her beautiful Florida themed watercolors Diane is a fifth generation Floridian who has been painting for 40 years. She excels in her free use of the watercolor medium. She rarely sketches out her subjects, instead she simply puts brush to paper in her unique, recognizable style. Diane finds inspiration in her garden, or her neighbor’s. Her favorite subjects are flowers , landscapes, and “skinny palms”, all done in a free, semi abstract style filled with color and light. Since retiring Diane has traveled extensively with her husband and those exotic locations sometimes show up in her paintings. She stays busy working with the North Brevard Art League, where she is past-president and now workshops chairman. Diane loves teaching and passing on the craft of watercolor painting.
