Description At the Y, our PRESCHOOL SOCCER PROGRAM IS AN INTERACTIVE
PROGRAM BETWEEN 3-5 year olds and their parents led by a YMCA staff
member or volunteer. This is designed as an introduction to the sport
of SOCCER. Skills taught include passing, shooting, and dribbling. The
focus of this program is to have fun, make new friends, and learn to
play SOCCER. ***This will be a SATURDAY ONLY PROGRAM FOR ONE HOUR***
***ALL days and times are subject to change based on coach
availability and registration numbers*** What Do I Need: Athletic
attire, closed-toe shoes, and a water bottle are needed each time your
child comes to play SOCCER AT THE Y. Players in this program will use
a size 2 SOCCER BALL (20-22 inches). Each child will need to bring
their own ball with them to practice, and have their name on it. An
email address should be on file with the YMCA to ensure timely and
efficient communication to our participants. Please feel free to
contact us to verify which email address we have on file for your
family. Volunteer Opportunities YMCA sports are based on seven guiding
principles: everyone plays, safety first, fair play, positive
competition, sports for all, sports for fun, and family involvement.
Our leagues are supported by parent volunteers who are engaged as
coaches, referees, and raving fans. We appreciate your participation
and understanding throughout the season, as well as your engagement
and support as a volunteer. If you are interested in being a coach,
please contact our Sports Director, Jayde Doucette, at
jdoucette@suncoastymca.org for more information. For any questions,
