The Run for RECOVERY 5K IS A USATF CERTIFIED COURSE (Course #
GA19015DJ). The Run for RECOVERY 5K IS HOSTED ON THE BEAUTIFUL CAMPUS
OF KENNESAW STATE UNIVERSITY AND SUPPORTS STUDENTS IN RECOVERY FROM
ADDICTION AND EATING DISORDERS. The race is hosted by KSU's Health
Promotion and Wellness. The Run for RECOVERY IS A KICK-off event for
National RECOVERY MONTH IN SEPTEMBER, during which hundreds of events
across the country support the positive message that behavioral health
is essential to overall health, that prevention works, treatment is
effective and people can and do recover. National RECOVERY MONTH
EXISTS TO INCREASE THE AWARENESS AND UNDERSTANDING OF SUBSTANCE USE
DISORDERS AND CELEBRATE THE PEOPLE WHO RECOVER. KENNESAW STATE
UNIVERSITY PROVIDES RESOURCES TO HELP STUDENTS FIND THE PATH TO HOPE,
