Learn how to create 3-dimensional figures with needle felting - a
simple, dry technique that uses barbed needles to meld wool fibers
together - whie creating your own wook sheep, panda, or owl. Use your
CHARM TO ACCESSORIZE AN OUTFIT, decorate a bag, or even start a
mobile! Cecilia was born into a family of designers in Hong Kong, but
it was the sheep farms she encountered while living in Nova Scotia
that fostered her passion for felting and fiber arts. Cecilia
relocated to South Carolina in 2013 and, since then, has been teaching
fiber arts for the Greenville Center for Creative Arts, the
Spartanburg Art Museum, STITCHES, and the Southeastern ANIMAL FIBER
FAIR AS WELL AS FOR LOCAL SCHOOLS, communities, and private
individuals. She also demonstrates felting at museums, galleries, and
festivals across the UNITED STATES and Canada, and she has taken part
in multiple juried art exhibitions and fashion shows. Cecilia also
designs and packages all-inclusive felting kits for beginners. Her
kits are carried by museums, gift and hobby shops across North America
and are available online from her etsy shop, www.FELTasticFashion.com.
# of Participants: 8 - 15 Age Range: 8-10 with an accompanying adult;
11+ without adult supervision. Adults should register separately if
they wish to create their own 3D CHARM. Required/Optional Supplies:
None. Supply Fee: $10, payable to the instructor during the class.
