Meet others living with Muscular Dystrophy at our 12TH ANNUAL CONFERENCE IN ATLANTA, GA._ _ Our ATLANTA CONFERENCE IS OPEN TO ALL FORMS OF NEUROMUSCULAR DISORDER AND LOVED ONES ARE WELCOME! _Come connect with a community of support! _Friday night sessions begin at 7:00 pm on July 10th, with conference check-in/registration beginning at 6:30 pm Friday. To be included in any Saturday events, all attendees must check in at 6:30 pm Friday. This year our theme is Mind + Body and will focus on overall wellness and HOW TO LIVE WELL WITH A NMD. We plan to hear from professionals on such topics as nutrition, physical therapy, psychological wellness/coping, and more! As always, we have a session for just those with MD to connect and share as a group, while loved ones and caregivers will be able to do the same. Our program leaves time for informal social interactions, which are often a highlight of the weekend. This is really just a time to enjoy being with others who "just get it!" Our official conference will close Saturday night with a group dinner and a special speaker that you won't want to miss!!! Stay tuned for announcements. Attendees typically remain in Atlanta for Sunday, as this is an (unstructured) fun day where people can plan a group activity or meal nearby. Exciting plans are in development. We will have other special announcements about our program to come, so stay tuned as we share more in the coming days! Our attendance will cap at 50 attendees this year to allow us all to connect personally, so if you know for sure that you would like to attend, don’t hesitate!
