At 5’5, 150 pounds (according to my driver’s license anyway) I
thought I could take on the Universe. For most of 2018, I fought
against my destiny. I fell in love, then out of love, then I turned
that into hatred and anger. I got so distracted and dizzy from my
purpose that when I hit rock bottom, it actually felt good.
I told myself that I was a loser who didn’t deserve anything but the
turmoil I was putting myself through on a daily basis. I stayed in
bed, avoided my friends and family and found a newfound love for
prison documentaries. I tried drinking, antidepressants, and dating
random men, but none of that seemed to lift me out of my dark place.
Then one fine October day, I woke up decided that I didn’t want to
be that sad and hopeless person any longer. One way that I was hurting
myself was a lack of purpose. As I began to heal gained more
confidence, I started putting my energy towards more beneficial
activities, and building my company was the most important one. As I
did more with my company, Bad Girl Basics, I started to set goals
which helped keep my focus.
However, I knew that I wouldn't be able to reach them without help
from others. Though I didn’t exactly know where to start, I did know
that I had to let go and let God. From that day in October where I
decided to hold myself accountable, my life has changed magically.
Unexplained chances of luck and profit have occurred and now I want to
share the wealth with other entrepreneurs and professionals alike.
Today I am proud to present to you my first endeavor of the year,
Magical Meetups.
Sick of traditional networking events, I created Magical Meetups to
help people define their intentions as well as take the next step in
accomplishing their dreams. In honor of St. Patrick's Day,
March's meetup is all about "How to Get Lucky In Business!" This
month we will be learning from "The Client Matchmaker," Spiceda
Jackson, CPA who will be teaching us how to attract high paying
clients!
Hope to see you there!
Love,
Lee
