Hey ladies! Whos ready to throw some sharp axes? Join us for an afternoon of pulse-pounding, adrenaline filled axe throwing fun at Blade & Bull!

In 2022, axe-throwing- the practice of chucking a hatchet into wood and hoping it sticks- is the newest and hottest sports trend with Olympic aspirations.  In fact, the NATF holds an annual championship with standardized rules and regulations. Luckily, or at least for me that is, just about anyone can learn to hurl a hatchet.  Located inside Southbound Brewing, Blade & Bull is an ax throwing bar that offers professional grade axe throwing in a safe and friendly environment. 

To kick off our one-hour private group event, an ax-pert will instruct a safety lesson to make sure that everyone handles their axes safely and no one gets hurt.  We will learn the rules of the game, and how to throw with ease.  During our event, we will never be on the range without an Ax-pert nearby!

You may be asking yourself, is it safe?.  By all accounts, yes. In 2015, BATL reported just five or six minor injuries over the course of its nine-year history, most a result of mishandling axes (i.e., picking an ax up by the head instead of the handle).

1. What does Blade & Bull mean?

Well, it is actually quite simple.  The blade is the axe.  The bull is the bullseye.  

2. What is an ax-throwing bar?

Its an indoor space designed to allow people to throw axes (or hatchets, their smaller counterparts) at wooden targets. 

3. What should I wear:

Closed-toe shoes (no high heels even if they are closed-toe)

A shirt which gives you full range of motion.

If you come in wearing a full suit of armor, you throw for free.

4. Do they serve food or alcohol? 

Blade & Bull is located inside Southbound Brewing. If you get thirsty, you can walk over to the Southbound side and grab some beers that you are welcomed to take back to B&B. B&B does NOT sell any beverages or snacks.

5. Is there free parking?

Yes!
