Both soft & oil pastels are unique, colorful and portable media
embraced for centuries. Learn the history, proper applications, and
use by the masters. Soft pastels differ greatly from oil pastels;
however, this class offers both! You choose to paint in either (or
both) media. Pastel techniques, styles have been studied by museums
and scholars worldwide. Beginners will learn the products, uses, and
methods, experienced students will be challenged by new methods of
expanding their skills; use of color, composition and drawing with
advanced and innovative techniques. Learn to bring your paintings to a
sophisticated and cutting-edge level. The instructor provides
demonstrations of both media, critiques, and hands-on assistance.
