SheJumps Youth Initiatives [http://www.shejumps.org/program/youth-initiative/] are proud to present a day of learning Wild Skills for Boise area girls ages 6-12. Girls will be introduced to the skills they need for adventuring such as first aid, leave no trace, 10 essentials and mountain biking. They will learn, participate and create, plus all will receive a Wild Skills journal for joining in the fun. This event is intended for AGES 6-12 GIRLS (TRANSGENDER AND CISGENDER) AS WELL AS NON-BINARY PEOPLE WHO IDENTIFY WITH THE WOMEN’S COMMUNITY.  SheJumps' Wild Skills youth events teach young girls the survival and technical skills they need for outdoor adventuring. These skills can be applied in any season or region and include first aid, navigation, leave no trace, 10 essentials, shelter building and more. Our events encourage girls to learn new skills, take on challenges and think creatively which develops perseverance and fosters confidence.      Our goal is to see girls learning, having fun and connecting in an encouraging environment with amazing instruction and support from female mentors. We want Wild Skills to be an experience they will remember, one that will spark a lifetime of passion for the outdoors and will remind them that they are capable of anything.   Sign up to volunteer at this event: https://forms.gle/ezYUw4p3NYqLeJUE9 [https://forms.gle/ezYUw4p3NYqLeJUE9]   TIMELINE FOR THE DAY * 8:00 Registration opens / teams form * 8:30 Welcome / Intro to SheJumps * 9:00 Class 1 * 10:00 Class 2 * 11:00 Class 3 * 11:45 Lunch (BYOL - Bring your own lunch) * 12:15 Class 4 * 1:15 Class 5 * 2:15 Wrap up/End of Event   Please note, _LUNCH IS NOT INCLUDED IN THIS EVENT._ Each participant will need to bring their own sack lunch.     With generous support from our partners, SheJumps is able to offer this amazing opportunity for girls at a minimum $20 donation. Donate as much as you can to help ensure that we can continue programs like this in the future!   If you are unable to afford the $20 donation, you can apply for a scholarship by emailing IdahoSJ@shejumps.org Sign up to volunteer at this event: https://forms.gle/ezYUw4p3NYqLeJUE9 [https://forms.gle/ezYUw4p3NYqLeJUE9] Interested in supporting this event?
