The NATIONAL DAIRY FARM PROGRAM IS A NATIONWIDE, verifiable program that addresses animal well-being. Having well-trained, knowledgeable EVALUATORS IS KEY TO A SUCCESSFUL ANIMAL CARE PROGRAM. Learn more about the FARM Program. [http://nationaldairyfarm.com/about-farm] This intensive training will cover the intent of the FARM Program and explain how to successfully complete a FARM VERSION 4.0 evaluation based on the NATIONAL DAIRY FARM PROGRAM GUIDELINES. FARM EVALUATOR TRAINING This intensive training will cover the intent of the FARM Program and explain how to successfully complete a FARM Version 4.0 evaluation based on the National Dairy FARM Program guidelines. FARM ANIMAL CARE VERSION 4.0 EVALUATORS Certified Evaluators are qualified to conduct FARM Animal Care Version 4.0 2nd party evaluations. Evaluator Applicant Approval and Certification Process _Applicants must apply for initial approval for Animal Care Version 4.0 training regardless if they have been certified in pervious FARM Animal Care versions. Once an individual has completed an initial application for Version 4.0, they do not have to reapply for annual recertification._ * Applicants will apply:  * When completing the application applicants must include the name and email of their Evaluator Trainer or note they are participating in a FARM led training * Applicants who have meet the evaluator applicant requirements will receive approval by FARM Program will then be interviewed on the phone by an Evaluator Trainer or FARM with a scoring rubric. * Approved Evaluators applicants must complete their inaugural training in-person by a certified Evaluator Trainer or FARM hosted training. Maintaining Certification * Evaluators must re-certify on an annual basis in-person or via live webinar conducted by a certified Evaluator Trainer or hosted by FARM. * EVALUATORS MUST BE SHADOWED BY A CERTIFIED EVALUATOR TRAINER AT A MINIMUM OF ONCE A YEAR.  * FARM recommends at least two times per year _Certification of an Evaluator will be based upon assessment of:_ * Education/on-farm dairy industry experience captured in resume, CV or similar document * Interview with associated rubric score * Performance on pre-training work * Completion of in-classroom training * Completion of on-farm practicum * Completion of database practicum * Performance on training tests * Approval by FARM Program staff _*Experience must be approved by the National Dairy FARM Program_ Evaluator Applicant Requirements Evaluators must have at least a combination of five years of education and/or on-dairy farm industry experience.
