Join us for Vandal Voices: The Beauty of Xeriscapes April 9, 5:30-6:30 pm. In this Vandal Voices presentation, University of Idaho Professor Susan Bell will discuss the principles used to create a water conserving landscape. Learn the seven simple steps that can make a landscape water thrifty yet colorful and attractive at the same time.
The event is free and open to the public 21+ years old.
About Susan Bell:
Susan Bell is a Horticulture Educator with the University of Idaho Extension in Ada County. She teaches the U of I Master Gardener, Advanced Master Gardener, and Master Composter Programs in Boise. Bell supervises the hands-on program practicum and community service efforts of 100 trained volunteers each year. Bell is a licensed pesticide consultant with the Idaho State Department of Agriculture.
Bell graduated from Quincy University, and received two Masters’ degrees from Southern Illinois University and Oregon State University. She’s co-authored over 30 technical horticultural publications for the University of Idaho. Her past experiences include serving as a garden columnist for the Idaho Statesman and hosting weekly television gardening spots for both KTVB-TV (Channel 7) and KBOI-TV (Channel 2).
