Boise Dandelion Festival

Join Boise Parks and Recreation, City of Good and a variety of partner organizations for the third annual Boise Dandelion Festival! This community-driven event celebrates biodiversity and the ecological, cultural and creative diversity that makes Boise unique — embodied by the regenerative spirit of the dandelion. From dandelion-themed food and beverages to live music, hands-on activities for kids and more, there’s something for everyone!

This free, family-friendly event offers a variety of opportunities to learn about the City of Boise’s efforts to reduce pesticide and herbicide use in parks and open spaces, while enjoying dandelion-infused products. This includes locally brewed dandelion beverages (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic) created by Woodland Empire Ale Craft. They’re made with dandelions hand-picked by volunteers from Boise Parks and Recreation park sites that are a part of our Pesticide Reduction Program. Plus, enjoy seasonal fare including locally sourced burgers, sides, and a dandelion salad from City of Good – and delicious handmade ice cream from Peaceful Belly Farm. All proceeds from beverage and food sales help support City of Good, a Boise-based nonprofit working to build a sustainable food system with equitable access to fresh, local food for all.

This year’s Boise Dandelion Festival is hosted at Kristin Armstrong Municipal Park right off the Boise River Greenbelt, so hop on a bike or walk over and join us for all the fun! Family activities start in the park at noon and live music starts on stage at 5 p.m. featuring Tater Patch followed by Brad Parsons.

To create a community-powered movement that celebrates the resilience of nature –embodied by the dandelion – and fosters collaboration among creatives, farmers, and residents.
