National Fiddler Hall of Fame inductee SCOTT JOSS & CHRIS GANTRY,
whose work is featured in Nashville's Country Music Hall of Fame.
Fiddler Extraordinaire, longtime member of Merle Haggard's "The
Strangers", and recent inductee into the National Fiddler Hall of
Fame, Scott Joss will be appearing live with Chris Gantry at the
Sapphire Room on February 22nd, 2020.
Joss spent 15 years touring with Dwight Yoakam, before joining
Haggards band from 2003-2016. Joss has played with "Kris Kristofferson
and The Strangers" since 2016, and Scott recently completed a tour of
Australia and Europe with Kristofferson. In 2019 Scott Joss released
his 3rd solo album called "How Far to Jordan" on Miracle Mile Records.
He continues to tour with Kris Kristofferson, Gantry, and as a solo
act in support of its’ release.
Chris Gantry is an original Nashville Outlaw arriving in music city in
1963 just before the dawning of the "Outlaw" movement. Chris
surrounded himself with other troubadours and close friends including
Kris Kristofferson, Shel Silverstein, Eddie Rabbit, Johnny Cash, Billy
Swan, & Mel Tillis. Gantry is perhaps best known for the song "Dreams
of the Everyday Housewife", made famous by Glen Campbell, which is now
considered nothing less than a country standard. Chris Gantry's songs
have been recorded by over 100 artists including Reba McEntire, KD
Lang, Johnny Cash, Robert Goulet, Wayne Newton, and Roy Clark.
Gantry's work and legacy are on display at the Country Music Hall of
Fame in Nashville, TN.
