answer: The PEDWAY IS THE UNSUNG HERO OF CHICAGO! The official answer
is that it’s a series of hallways and walkways that keep CHICAGOANS
FROM HAVING TO GO OUTSIDE IN EXTREME WEATHER. BRILLIANCE!The PEDWAY
LEADS US UNDER, over and through office buildings, cultural buildings,
residential - but we never go outside. We’ll talk architecture and
history, but we’ll focus on the PEDWAY TOO. We’ll talk about the
symbol, the map, future plans and figure out how exactly we’re
supposed to use this thing! On Saturday, the Pedway is quiet,
downright peaceful even. It’s cool and dark and WEIRD because
we’re wandering empty office buildings and high-rise residences.
