Humans are social creatures, so it is not too surprising that educational experiences that are interactive, COLLABORATIVE, and engaging lead to deeper LEARNING!In this workshop, we explore how to develop routines, procedures, structures, and spaces to create an environment of respect and rapport where collaborative learning thrives. Designed for teachers and facilitators of adult and youth groups, this workshop features a wide variety of cooperative learning strategies.  From the establishment of norms  to daily rituals and routines, you'll gather many tips and tricks to foster collaborative and interactive learning. Please join us for coffee at 8:15am, and then engage in an interactive session with colleagues from across the region! REGISTRATION WILL REMAIN OPEN UNTIL FRIDAY, MAY 11TH. Space is limited, so please register soon! __If you have questions, please email pd @ umojacorporation.org. ------------------------- _Please Note: In order to make our workshops available to a broad and diverse audience, we are using a sliding scale payment model, which means you choose how much you pay. Paying at the lowest level is like receiving a scholarship, while paying at the highest level helps us cover the true cost of the workshop and helps make our sliding scale possible. Thank you for considering your situation and resources as you choose your registration level!_ If you are a member of the Chicago Literacy Alliance, be sure to take advantage of "Umoja Friend" registration level. If you are staff member at an Umoja Core Partner School, please email pd @ umojacorporation.org for registration support.
