RECOMMENDED FOR EMPLOYEES!Many people have preconceived ideas about
what constitutes sexual harassment in the workplace. In today’s
society there is no room for doubt. Employees need to know for
certain what sexual harassment is and what to do when they are
confronted with it.
Participants will engage in a series of thoughtful discussions and
exercises about the different perceptions of appropriate and
inappropriate conduct. Participants will learn about two types of
SEXUAL HARASSMENT: quid pro quo and hostile work
environment. The training will focus on how to employ several
precautionary measures to avoid misunderstandings and accusations of
SEXUAL HARASSMENT IN THE WORKPLACE. _(2 hours)_
REASONABLE ACCOMMODATIONS: Trainings with the Illinois Department of
Human Rights - Institute for Training and Development are accessible
to and usable by persons with disabilities in compliance with the
Americans with Disabilities Act, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act
of 1973 and the Illinois Human Rights Act.

The Institute for Training and Development requires seven (7) business
days to obtain any reasonable accommodation. If for some reason you
cannot attend your scheduled training, you must request the
cancellation of the reasonable accommodation at least 72 hours prior
to the date of training. All requests must be in writing and should
include reason for cancellation. Failure to comply may result in
suspension of future training privileges.
TRAINING MATERIALS: All training materials will be sent via email
and must be printed out and brought to class. Materials will no
longer be distributed on site. An email containing a link to
training materials will be sent out 1 week prior to the training
schedule. Please add idhr.training@illinois.gov to your address book
to avoid emails going to your spam folder.
CANCELLATIONS: If for some reason you cannot attend your scheduled
training, you must request the cancellation at least three (3)
business days prior to the date of training. Failure to comply may
result in suspension of future training privileges.
