It began as an experiment to bridge the rich musical tradition of American folk and the gritty lyricism of urban rap. It has since morphed to incorporate multiple musical genres including: blues, rock, gypsy, and indie. After two years of shows including two stops at SXSW in Austin TX, original drummer Grant Ossler left the band in mid 2016 leaving vocalist Joe Steffek to take on double duty as a drummer/singer. In mid 2017, Tommy Mendoza took the reins on drums, returning the band to a traditional four piece lineup. http://www.theinventorsmusic.com [http://www.theinventorsmusic.com/] The Edwards The Edwards is a five-piece rock outfit comprised of members from a variety of other Chicago/New York music projects (Nativity Beds, Strange Foliage, Moonrise Nation, Torres).
