Come celebrate the release of the CivicLab's first book! "Chicago Is Not Broke. Funding the City We Deserve" is a collection of short articles by Chicago experts on ways to save and generate major revenues for Chicago.
The event will be hosted by Damon Williams of the Black Youth Project 100 and the #LetUsBreathe Collective.
Our special guest will be Troy LaRiviere, President, Chicago Principals and Administrators Association. Read his interview in "In These Times" from July 2016.
We will have brief remarks from our authors. Books will be on sale and the authors will be around to sign your copy. There will be finger food and a cash bar. The cost is $30 and that includes one book! Doors open at 6:30pm. The event starts at 7:00pm Saturday, July 16. Please note - we will not be honoring any promotions at the door.
