The Certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (ICGB) is a professional who is well versed in the Lean Six Sigma Methodology who both leads or supports improvement projects, typically as a part-time role. A Lean Six Sigma Green Belt possesses a thorough understanding of all aspects within the phases of D-M-A-I-C. They understand how to perform and interpret Six Sigma tools and how to use standard principles of Lean.
The Lean Six Sigma Green Belt operates in support or under the supervision of a Six Sigma Black Belt, analyzes and solves business problems, and is involved in process and quality improvement projects. Lean Six Sigma Green Belt drives process improvement initiatives to develop robust systems for the business and deliver consistent output to customers. Green Belt training equips individuals with a logical and objective way to identify, measure, and eliminate problems / issues with process within an organization. The training also enhances the way employees approach their day-to-day work and strategically positioned to support each other in the workplace, the improvement potential expands.

Examination:
The IASSC Certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (ICGB) Exam is a 3 hour 100 question, closed book, proctored exam. The Exam contains approximately 20 multiple-choice questions from each major section of the ILSSBOK for Green Belts.
In order to achieve the professional designation of IASSC Certified Green Belt (ICYB) from the International Association for Six Sigma Certification candidates must achieve a minimum score of 385 points out of a total 500 points.
