Join US for an afternoon of Food, Fun, FASHION AND A SALUTE TO WOMEN
LEADERS ! Sankofa is a word in the Akan language of Ghana that
translates as "reach back and get it". It is often associated with
the proverb, “Se wo were fi na wosankofa a yenkyi," which translates
as: "It is not wrong to go back for that which you have forgotten."
In this spirit, National Pan-Hellenic Council of Chicago (NPHCC) feels
that it is important to reach back and help the youth of today to
become the successful leaders of tomorrow. During our Sankofa
celebration, we will award scholarships to promising college students
as a sign of encouragement for progression and hard work.
Collectively, NPHCC performs numerous hours of service work to uplift
our communities. Those who have excelled at “answering the call to
serve” will also be honored at the luncheon as our way to say
“thank you.”
Lastly, as a treat, we will showcase our creativity in clothing and
design during a fashion show. Join us for a fun-filled afternoon
chocked full of laughter, connectedness and gratitude. Your support
is appreciated!
Please plan to arrive by 11:00am to check in for seating assignments
prior to the event.
