INTRODUCTION:
Sabeel Center is proud to present its Halal Cooking Classes for 2020 !
Our 2 class on LEBANESE CUISINE ARE OFFERED BY CHEFS AMY LUKASIK AND
AMAL FARAJ OF _Sur La Table_.
Amy will be teaching Chicken Shwarma with garlic sauce and homemade
pita bread on the 17th, and Amal will be teaching Fattoush salad
and Lentil Soup on the 25th.Please stay tuned for more event details,
but given the size of our classes (max. 8 students), the events tend
to sell out soon.
Description:
At the start of the classes, students will be given a brief
introduction to the nuances of the cuisine, as well as a bit of its
history. The halal components will be mentioned as well.
The class will be hands-on, with students prepping the ingredients
(see below) while learning about the cuisine. After cooking the
delicacy, the students will get to savor it at the end of the class.
