About the Workshop: This workshop will provide a detailed look at
progress monitoring and why it is important in an era of increased
data based decision making. The workshop will include lecture, along
with practical application of how to monitor goals and show
educational benefit for students in both the academic and behavioral
areas. Emphasis will be placed on learning standards of comparison
and calculating rates of progress for behavior. Anticipated Outcomes:
1. Participants will learn about and be able to choose the most
appropriate standards of comparison to use in progress monitoring. 2.
Participants will learn the four major ways to calculate rate of
progress. 3. Participants will be able to determine if a student is
meeting his/her growth expectation. 4.Participants will be able to
calculate how long it will take a student to catch up with peers. 5.
Students will learn to choose the most appropriate tools for behavior
progress monitoring.
