YMCA Basketball League - Grades K-1

Records quickly fade, but kids who play sports hold onto the memories and benefits for a lifetime. Y Sports programs place priority on skill development, healthy competition, team building, fair play and creating a positive self-image. As our flagship program, the YMCA Basketball League is led by qualified adult staff coaches. Experience the benefits of the Y's rich basketball history in our safe, values-based environment. Format:
30-minute practice, immediately followed by a full game

11:20am-12:20pm

Your child will enjoy an unmatched basketball experience at the McGaw YMCA:

• NEW! Experienced YMCA staff coaches lead each team.
• Play on! All players receive equal playing time and play at least 50% of the game.
• Great games! Player evaluations ensure parity and exciting recreational competition.
• Buddy up! Friend requests are accepted and honored as able.
• Hit the court! Registration includes a 30-minute weekly practice, immediately followed by a full game.
• Scheduling convenience! Know all practice/game times before you enroll.
• Special in-season features enhance the experience by encouraging academic achievement and reinforcing the "character counts" message. This may include guest speakers, service opportunities, jamboree week and holiday/seasonal themed activities.
• Season-ending awards and celebration event highlight the hard work and teamwork of all athletes.
• Limited spots per division. Register online, in-person at the Y or over the phone at 847-475-7400 option 1.

No programming July 5 or July 26.

All dues are non-refundable and non-transferable.
