This course provides the knowledge and SKILLS NECESSARY TO ACT IN AN EMERGENCY UNTIL EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES PERSONNEL ARRIVE. You will learn and practice adult, child and infant CPR, including AED, and standard FIRST AID SKILLS. Adults who will be serving as the trained FIRST-Aider for troop/group camping trips and other activities listed in the Safety Activity Checkpoints that require a FIRST-Aider should take this course. IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT COURSE ACCESS After you register, you'll receive a 10-digit code via email. This code allows you to log in and complete the online portion of your FIRST AID/CPR Training. Please note: * Codes are NOT SENT AUTOMATICALLY . A staff member will email your code within one business day of your registration. * CODES ARE NOT SENT ON WEEKENDS. * On Fridays between Memorial Day and Labor Day, our business day ends at noon. If you register after noon on Friday during this time, you will not receive a code until Monday. * IT IS RECOMMENDED THAT YOU REGISTER FOR THIS COURSE AT LEAST A WEEK PRIOR TO THE SKILLS SESSION TO ALLOW ENOUGH TIME TO RECEIVE YOUR CODE AND COMPLETE THE ONLINE TRAINING. Attendance at the in-PERSON SKILLS TESTING SESSION IS REQUIRED FOR CERTIFICATION. Online coursework must be completed before attending the in-PERSON SESSION. You must bring a PRINTED copy of the Certificate of Completion, as proof that you completed all components of the online portion, to this in-PERSON TESTING SESSION. You may bring a blanket or sit upon (for kneeling on the ground), a water bottle, paper, and a writing utensil for note taking.
