It’s a spirited way to kick off your day with fitness, fun, and a little friendly competition, all in the name of HerrinFesta pride. 8:00 am - 10:00 am: Masonic Lodge Breakfast - Herrin Masonic Lodge 320 N 14th St, Herrin, IL, United States Start your morning the HerrinFesta way - with a hearty breakfast served by the dedicated members of the Herrin Masonic Lodge. This annual tradition brings the community together over pancakes, eggs, and friendly conversation in a welcoming atmosphere. Fuel up for the day’s festivities while supporting a group that’s long been part of Herrin’s civic spirit. 10:00 am - 11:00 am: Sensory Friendly Pre-Parade Event - Herrin Junior High 700 S 14th St, Herrin, IL, United States Designed with care for individuals who experience sensory sensitivities, this pre-parade event offers a welcoming environment with reduced noise, smaller crowds, and gentle activities. Families can enjoy the excitement of HerrinFesta in a calm, supportive setting—creating space for everyone to be part of the celebration. 11:00 am - 1:00 pm: Herrin Festa Grand Parade - Downtown Herrin Park Ave, Herrin, IL, United States Join us for the annual Herrin Festa Italiana Parade, a beloved tradition celebrating Italian heritage and community spirit! Featuring vibrant floats, local bands, community groups, and festive performances, the parade brings excitement to the heart of Herrin as the festival gets into full swing. Don’t miss this fun-filled event that sets the stage for a week of incredible food, entertainment, and family-friendly festivities! GRAND PARADE INSTRUCTIONS Starting Point: Herrin Middle School Line-Up Time: 10:00 AM No registration or fee is required to participate. We encourage businesses and political entries to donate to the Herrin Food Pantry. Donations can be mailed to: 509 N 17th St, Herrin, IL 62948. PLEASE FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS BELOW. ARRIVAL AND LINE-UP Upon Arrival: Look for a Parade Marshal. They will assist you in staging your float or vehicle. Positioning: Follow their directions to ensure a smooth and organized line-up. FLOAT AND MUSIC ENCOURAGEMENT: We encourage all participants to include engaging floats and lively music! SAFETY GUIDELINES PROHIBITED ITEMS: Throwing hard objects from your vehicle or float is strictly prohibited. Please refrain from using cannons of any kind and/or confetti, as it can create safety hazards and complicate clean-up. PARADE START Timing: The parade will start promptly at 11:00 AM. Route: The parade will proceed down Park Ave and end at Polk Street. JUDGING AND ANNOUNCEMENTS The judges will be located in front of Herrin City Hall. Announcement: Your entry will be announced at City Hall, so be sure to put your best foot forward! Thank you for being part of the Grand Parade! Dew Midway Carnival, Free Entertainment Tent and Beer Sales Open Head to downtown Herrin for a night of Festa fun! The Carnival lights up the streets with exciting rides, games, and all your favorite fair food. The Free Entertainment Tent features live music and performances to keep the energy going, while cold beer and festive vibes make it the perfect way to enjoy your evening at HerrinFesta. 12:30 pm - 5:00 pm: Adult-Child Bocce Tournament - Herrin Bocce Complex 300 W Walnut St, Herrin, IL, United States A beloved HERRINFESTA TRADITION THAT BRINGS GENERATIONS TOGETHER, the Adult-Child Bocce Tournament pairs kids and grown-ups for friendly competition on the courts. This group of seasoned Southern Illinois musicians relives their childhood through high-energy covers that will have you singing along all night. The stage is set and the sound is on—grab your friends, a cold drink, and enjoy an evening of great performances from local favorites and regional talent.
